Thank you for stopping by! My name is Billie Hackett, and I am the owner and chief designer at Amayeli.
Amayeli means "an island in the middle of water" in the endangered language of tsalagi (Cherokee), which is part of my heritage. (pronounced ah-maw-yea-lee)
Amayeli is located in beautiful Hermann Mo, which is a small winery town, with lots of quaint and historical buildings. In fact, you can purchase Amayeli designs at several shops in town, such as Antiques Unlimited Two, Stomp'N Grounds, Typestyles General Store, and Copper Mule Distillery.
My shop and studio are nestled in the back country of Hermann, with lots of nature and animals around for inspiration.. When I'm not making jewelry, you will often find me in the woods, as my hobbies include looking for and harvesting wild mushrooms and other edibles.
I started Amayeli in 2009, as a way to supplement my income, and allow me more time at home with my son. Within a few short years, I was able to quit my full time job, and put all my energy into my rapidly growing business.
In 2012 I was accepted into The Artisan Group, which has given me opportunities to have my jewelry worn on many popular TV shows, as well as getting it into the hands of celebrities, and fashion press members at backstage gifting suites for events like the Golden Globes. I have also had my designs featured in several magazines. (you can visit my Facebook page to see all the details about these gifting's). (For more information, visit theartisangroup.org)
I strive to bring you unique designs, all centered around a rustic but feminine look. You will find bold statement pieces, as well as classic everyday pieces. Custom orders always welcome!
Thanks to all my customers and fans, who keep my business going!
